First impression of Pink Guava:
Let’s start off with the scent description for Pink Guava:
This tropical escape begins with exotic fruit juices of guava, papaya and bright citrus which is complemented with a sheer floral bouquet and island coconut waters.
Smelling the wax, it smelled tropical alright with a lot of floral in the mix. In fact, I thought it was really fresh so I think my nose picked up on citrus and floral the most with guava coming in a close third. The floral component surprised me since I assumed this would be a solid fruity scent… not so. And just an FYI… I liked it, it just wasn’t what I was initially expecting.
Melting:
I used the entire clamshell pack in two electric melters in my great room equally dividing the wax between the two. Once melting, it took just a few minutes to start noticing the fragrance and oh my goodness… the entire upper level of my home smelled like a tropical greenhouse filled with a zesty fruit and fresh flowers. I’m still not sure if this scent smelled like guava or papaya… all I can tell you is the fragrance drifting through my home smelled like a really fresh and tropical fruit with floral notes in the background. It was pretty lively and a perfect scent for spring and summer.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate these melts a 10 in any size room. The candle, I’m not sure since I have yet to try one but my guess would be a medium throw in a large room.
I really enjoyed Pink Guava and I may have to try this scent in one of their large oval candles next time. There is nothing quite like burning a large oval from Colonial. They are so beautiful to watch burning.
Happy melting!
